玉山茶 - Yushan tea

From the HsinYi Township.  The southern-most part of Nantou county is Hsin Yi township. Yu Shan (Jade Mountain) is located at the southern border of this township. At 3952 meters(12,966 feet) Yu Shan is the highest mountain in East Asia. The tea plantations of Yu Shan cover approximately 360 hectares.

The year-round low temperatures produces thick, juicy tea leaves which brew to a heavy liquor with a remarkably sweet fragrance. This tea is very smooth and has lots of flavor - light and slightly fermented.
It's like wild lily flowers on the front of the tongue and a sweet grassy aftertaste which, in the 2nd and 3rd infusions add a slight sweet milk cream! The 4th and 5th infusions really have a wonerful mellow aftertaste. A great Oolong for any time of year!
